The 31st #AMVER Awards ceremony, brilliantly organized by the Propeller Club of the U.S. International Port of Piraeus on the 15th December at the Intercontinental hotel , vividly commemorated and honoured once again ships and maritime companies for their search and rescue efforts over the past year.
Seamanship (ναυτοσύνη) is so much more than just the art of navigating or operating a ship and is deeply rooted in the Ethos of the Greek sailors since the onset of the maritime profession. This Ethos, a set of values and beliefs that guide behavior, is grounded in principles such as discipline, respect for the sea, commitment to safety, and responsibility to others.
For all members of the global #shipping community, rescuing human life in harsh and risky sea conditions is an admirable display of bravery. Ultimately, seamanship is not just about mastering techniques but a way of life that honours the traditions and values of the sea.
INSB Class was proud to co-support this year’s notable Awards theme of #seamanship as one of the Silver Donors.
