Role of INSB Class

Classification and Certification

INSB Class provides classification services to ensure ships are built and maintained according to specific standards. INSB Class Rules standards cover the ship’s structural strength, stability, and integrity, as well as machinery and equipment safety. Ships that meet these standards are allocated with applicable classification notations and issued with ship classification certification, indicating they are compliant with safety regulations.

Research and Development

INSB Class is involved in research and development activities to advance safety standards and technologies in the maritime industry. This includes collaborating with other classification societies, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for enhancing safety and environmental protection.

Inspections and Surveys

INSB Class conducts periodic inspections and surveys of ships to assess their compliance with IMO Regulations and national safety standards. These surveys include initial, annual, intermediate, and renewal surveys. The purpose is to ensure that a ship remains in good condition and continues to meet safety standards throughout its operational life.

Regulatory Compliance

INSB Class assists shipowners and operators in complying with international conventions and regulations set by bodies such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO). INSB Class provides technical guidance and support to ensure that its certified fleet meet such regulatory requirements.
