BAHAMAS TECHNICAL SEMINAR

On 13 July 2023, INSB Class attended the #BMA Greek Technical Seminar organised by the Bahamas Maritime Authority at the Intercontinental Athenaeum Athens, with insightful presentations on their corporate status and quality focus towards Port State Control Performance and on BMAs approach in relation to the revised #IMO decarbonisation regulatory update, milestones and the road map ahead.
Interesting points were also raised with regards to trends for alternative fuels as well as for the use of #biofuels in Carbon Intensity Indicator calculations (#CII).
It was a both privilege and a delight to promote dialogue and exchange views on important shipping industry’s #environmental matters with Mr. Peter John Goulandris-BMA’s Deputy Chairman, Dwain Hutchinson-BMA’s Managing Director & CEO and Stephen Keenan-BMA’s Deputy Director, Inspections & Surveys Dept.
